Northern Kentucky’s self-guided bourbon tour, The B Line, has added two new stops: Covington’s Wenzel Whiskey and Augusta’s Becker & Bird Distillery.

The B Line now features nine Kentucky Bourbon Trail distilleries, nine bourbon bars, and 10 bourbon-themed restaurants in Covington, Newport, Independence, Burlington, Sparta, Augusta, and Maysville.

“Kentucky bourbon draws over 2 million visitors to our Commonwealth each year, providing a substantial economic boost to the region,” meetNKY CEO Julie Kirkpatrick said in a press release. “The B-Line offers visitors a chance to dive into a history-rich journey, not only through renowned distilleries on the official Kentucky Bourbon Trail, but also through bourbon-inspired bars and restaurants that celebrate our region’s deep distilling heritage.”

Prospective B-Line members must meet strict criteria, such as fostering a culture around bourbon through continuing education and stocking certain types of bourbon, having at least 50 labels of bourbon (bars must have 100), and having weekly bourbon-infused food and drink specials. Bars must also host bourbon-related events and offer specialty flights.
