A large tree snapped in the wind Saturday afternoon, cutting short an Easter egg hunt in Devou Park, according to city officials.

Some activities were able to be held, said Parks & Recreations Manager Ben Oldiges, including a distribution of food and thousands of eggs.

Some eggs are leftover, so the city is hoping to hold a mini event Monday to give out the rest. The city recommended keeping an eye on their Facebook page for updates.
