The Northern Kentucky Hazardous Waste Collection Event is taking place this Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents of Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties can dispose of their household hazards for free at this event.
Items accepted:
- Antifreeze
- Batteries (all types)
- Corrosives/Flammables (fuel, kerosene, etc.)
- Electronics
- Ink Cartridges/Toner
- Light Bulbs
- Oil
- Paint (All types – limited to 10 cans per vehicle)
- Pesticides (two gallon/ two lbs. only)
- Propane Tanks (20 lbs. only)
- Televisions (limit two televisions per vehicle)
Items not accepted:
- Appliances
- Fertilizer
- Mercury-containing devices
- Medications
- Tires
- Trash/Debris
- Furniture/Mattresses
Items can be dropped off at Thomas More Stadium, 7950 Freedom Way in Florence. A registration form is available to complete prior to attending the event.
