The Fairfield Avenue Mile and Fellowship of Christian Athletes 5k is back this weekend.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, July 9, at 8 a.m. along Fairfield Avenue in Bellevue. There will be an option of a one-mile walk/run or a 5k for runners only.
People of all ages are welcome to participate in the race. Families can run and walk with their children, push their kids in a stroller, and bring their dogs if they’re on a leash.
This event started in 1996 when it was organized by Bellevue residents Marty and Bobbie Mayer and has been a Bellevue tradition since.
All proceeds from the event will provide camp scholarships and program funding for student-athletes and coaches from Northern Kentucky.
