Vent Haven Museum was the Grand Marshall for the Ft Mitchell Parade.

The Fourth of July parade in Fort Mitchell generates a day long party in the city.

Long before the parade begins at 12:30 p.m., pop up tents and camp chairs line Dixie Highway, and festivities go on before and after the parade. Crowds reached a peak as the parade started, and spirits were high.

Grand Marshall for the parade was the Vent Haven Museum, and people with puppets came out and interacted with the children along the route.

The theme for the parade was Lend a Helping Hand.

The parade started at DCCH Center Fairgrounds and proceeded up Orphanage road to Dixiie Highway where it continued on to Beechwood High School.

Beechwood Superintendent Mike Stacy was in a golf cart in the parade, throwing candy along with people from the schools, also throwing candy.

Mayor Jude Hehman was also throwing candy as fast as he could to a tremendous amount of children dressed in red, white, and blue, and standing patiently in the 85 degree heat.
