ENTERprise NKU, a dynamic hub dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and economic development in the region, is a new initiative that builds upon NKU’s strong commitment to community engagement and positions the university as a catalyst for regional growth.
ENTERprise NKU serves as a central resource for businesses, entrepreneurs, government entities, community organizations and individuals seeking to connect, collaborate, and capitalize on the diverse expertise and resources available at NKU. The hub offers a range of services, including industry partnerships, workforce recruitment and retention assistance, student engagement, customized training and professional development programs, and research and innovation initiatives.
By establishing ENTERprise NKU, the university aims to nurture a thriving ecosystem in NKY where businesses, organizations and individuals can leverage NKU’s academic excellence, state-of-the-art facilities, and talented pool of students, faculty, and staff. This initiative strengthens the university’s mission of driving economic growth and improving the quality of life in Northern Kentucky.
“As an institution deeply rooted in our community, NKU is excited to launch ENTERprise NKU and further enhance our role as an engine for regional economic growth,” said Bonita Brown, Interim President for NKU. “We are committed to collaborating with our partners – cultivating talent and driving innovation to create a vibrant and prosperous Northern Kentucky.”
The goal of ENTERprise NKU is to be the “front door” to the university, helping businesses and organizations of all sizes and stages connect to resources across campus. These programs include:
- Partnerships: NKU serves as a catalyst for innovation by connecting businesses and non-profit organizations with NKU’s talented faculty and students in collaborative projects to address workplace challenges, explore research opportunities, and develop customized solutions for professional development and upskilling.
- Workforce Development: Recognizing the importance of a skilled workforce in driving economic growth, ENTERPrise NKU offers a variety of solutions to recruiting and retaining a skilled workforce. These programs include customized training solutions, on campus recruitment connections, and internship/co-op programs that bridge the gap between education and employment.
- Student Engagement: NKU students are known for their work-ready skills and unparalleled drive to succeed. ENTERprise NKU works with businesses and organizations to develop strategies specific to their short- and long-term goals, such as career fairs, class speaking opportunities, and building their brand on campus.
ENTERprise NKU is focused on bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, government officials, and community members to explore opportunities for collaboration with its student, staff and faculty population.
