“This is a bittersweet moment for me,” Endicott said. “I absolutely love being a patrolman. I look forward to leading as a supervisor and welcome this new challenge with the city.”

Endicott thanked his wife and family, the city and other members of the force for their support.

“Thank you to those who have guided me along the way,” Endicott said, “from the chief’s office, my entire family and my friends inside and outside the police department.”

Endicott will assume his new role beginning Oct. 1.
