Ludlow swore in its newest police officer, Thomas Finke, this month at the city council meeting. Finke comes from a family of law enforcement professionals and said at the council meeting that he understands what it takes to do the job.
“He is a smart and hard-working young man who we believe will be a good fit in Ludlow,” Chief Scott Smith said of Finke. “He is eager to get started and young officers like Finke will be the future of Ludlow.”
Finke will attend the The Department of Criminal Justice Training Academy and do ride-alongs with other officers to familiarize himself with the force and Ludlow’s community.
