Boone County Schools announced its new hire for Boone County High School principal.
Dr. J. Lail was recently hired to replace current principal Tim Schlotman, who is retiring at the end of the school year, according to Boone County Schools.

Lail comes to Boone County High from Shepherdsville, Kentucky, where he was the principal at North Bullitt High School. Prior to that, he was a superintendent for the Medicine Lake School District, a small school district in rural Montana.Â
He received his Executive Doctor of Educational Leadership from the University of Kentucky. He holds two master’s degrees in education from Northern Kentucky University and a third master’s degree from Xavier University. He received his undergraduate degree from NKU.
