The Covington Farmers Market will return to Washington Street in Covington this Saturday, May 2.
The market runs every Saturday from May 2 to Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first 70 customers to sign up for the official market newsletter this Saturday will receive a free insulated, resealable bag as an opening day promotion.
“This year’s outdoor season features a rotating lineup of over 30 vendors, including local farmers, artisans and civic groups,” according to the city. “Each Saturday, visitors can browse up to 25 stalls offering local produce, prepared foods, baked goods, plants, flowers, crafts and more.”
The market is one of the few in the local area that accepts food assistance cards.
