Reality Tuesday Cafe, a legacy small business in Park Hills, will officially close its doors after more than 25 years in business.
The final day of service is Tuesday, April 28.
The owner, Traci Gregg, informed LINK nky Tuesday morning that the business owed about $13,000 in back rent and other building fees. Posts on the business’ Facebook account that went up last week show outstanding invoices and a letter from the landlord’s attorney informing the business they would take legal action if it failed to pay up by April 30. Gregg stated that she plans to file for bankruptcy to settle the debt.
Community members have established a GoFundMe to help cushion the owner from hardship that may arise from the business’ closure. It had raised $6,500 as of noon on Tuesday.
Reality Tuesday, which is located on 1518 Dixie Highway in Park Hills, will be open until 5 p.m.
LINK nky has reached out to the landlord’s attorney for comment and will update this story if they respond.
