L2 Aviation, an NKY avionics company, is acquiring Advance Aero, a machining and fabrication company based in Indiana.

The purchase of Advance Aero will enhance L2’s ability to control critical elements of the supply chain, according to a press release from the company. It will also improve production efficiency and increase overall operational capacity.

“This acquisition is about control, capability and execution,” L2 Aviation President and Chief Operations Officer Tony Bailey said in the release. “Advance Aero gives us the ability to bring critical manufacturing processes in-house, which improves quality, reduces lead times, and strengthens our ability to deliver fully integrated solutions to our customers. Just as important, we are bringing in a highly skilled team that aligns with our standards and our culture.”

L2 Aviation has a significant presence at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. In 2025, L2 Aviation opened a new avionics manufacturing facility at CVG, off Comair Boulevard, after investing $12.2 million to remodel an office building and hangar space.

Gov. Andy Beshear, along with CVG CEO Larry Krauter, attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the facility last April.
