After months of searching, Fort Thomas’ Blue Marble Books now has a new owner.
The bookstore announced in a press release that Allyson Rowh and Emily O’Hearn will take over ownership.
Blue Marble Books, established in 1979 by the late Tina Moore, is a key part of the Fort Thomas community. Following Moore’s death in 2016, her husband Peter took over the business.
To celebrate the new owners, Blue Marble is hosting a welcome event on Thursday, March 19, starting at 2 p.m. The event will feature a display of personal notes, articles and letters from Tina’s relationships with well-known children’s authors, including Tomie dePaola, Gary Paulsen, and others, along with signed books, memorabilia, and legacy items covering nearly five decades of bookselling history. Kentucky Children’s Book Awards from the 1980s and 1990s will also be on display.
Situated at 1356 S. Fort Thomas Ave., the store is close to Woodfill Elementary, Tower Park, Fort Thomas’s Historical Midway District, and is less than a 10-minute drive from downtown Cincinnati. Blue Marble Books has occupied the location since 1991.
