The Covington Business Council is inviting businesses around the city, including Latonia, to compete in its “Deck the District” holiday decoration contest.
“We hope this program boosts winter tourism in Covington while also strengthening community pride among both residents and business owners,” said Covington Business Council Executive Director Pat Frew in a press release. “Our goal is to build a tradition that grows year after year.”
Three businesses will receive prizes donated by business council member businesses. Displays must be completed by Dec. 7.
Judging based on “on creativity, seasonal expression” and “contribution to enhancing the beautification and vibrancy of Covington” will be carried out by the business council’s executive board the following week, according to a press release from the city. Winners will be announced on Dec. 15.
