A new Chick-fil-A is set to open next week at the Union Promenade development.
On Thursday, Chick-fil-A is set to open at 9172 U.S. 42 in Union. The chicken chain will regularly open at 6 a.m. and will employ around 110 people.
It will be run by Dustin DiChiara, who also operates the Chick-fil-A location on Mall Road in Florence.
The hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. At the Union Promenade location, customers will be able to dine in, order from the drive-thru, take out, cater, or use the “mobile thru” option. In addition, the restaurant will have an on-site playground.
As part of its opening, Chick-fil-A announced a $25,000 donation to the Freestore Foodbank to aid local hunger relief efforts. The Union restaurant will also take part in the company’s Shared Table program, which donates surplus food to local nonprofits.
Guests arriving on opening day dressed in cow-themed attire will receive a free entrée or kid’s meal, available inside the restaurant or through the drive-thru, while supplies last.
