An AI chatbot, an economic indicator dashboard and more have been added to the Northern Kentucky Atlas.
The atlas is an online data dashboard run by BE NKY Growth Partnership for Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties. It features hundreds of topics that can be explored in the form of maps, charts, tables, and more. It was developed by Metopio, a Chicago-based data and analytics company.
“The ultimate goal is for this tool to be used to improve our region, providing an
analytical resource to align community stakeholders on issues that need to be
addressed, and help them obtain the data they need to do this work,” BE NKY
Research Director David McAleese said in a press release. “We are consistently working to update the Atlas to increase accessibility and ease-of-use for the Northern Kentucky community.”
Listed below are some of the Northern Kentucky Atlas’ new features:
- CaptAIn AI Chatbot — CaptAIn is an AI chatbot that serves as a user-friendly navigation tool for the website.
- Economic Indicator Dashboard — Found under the “local reports” tab in the main navigation column, the Economic Indicator Dashboard provides quick snapshots about the state of the Northern Kentucky economy by utilizing data sets.
- NKY Atlas Testimonials — The site now features a number of testimonials from various companies and organizations in Northern Kentucky. Organizations like the Brighton Center and The Catalytic Fund are examples. Testimonials are located under the “About” tab on the Atlas’ homepage.
- NKY Atlas In the News — Also located under the “About” tab, this section features aggregated stories from several publications that have utilized data from the Atlas in their reporting.
- NKY Works — The Atlas now features a page dedicated to NKY Works, the region’s new workforce development office, and its five key focus areas: early childhood education, career readiness, work-ready adults, regional talent, attraction & promotion, and employer best practices. Launched in April, NKY Works is the successor to GROW NKY.
“Metopio partners with forward-thinking organizations like BE NKY to improve the
platform to make data easily accessible so anyone can make more informed decisions,” Metopio cofounder Angie Grover said in the release. “It’s exciting to see the investments the community data dashboard is driving.”
