Libya Binford, founder of 10-D Outfitters, a firm that provides specialty construction products from well-known brands and manufacturers, won the grand prize at this year’s Aviatra Accelerators Flight Night competition.

Aviatra Accelerators, a Covington-based nonprofit that supports women-owned startups and small businesses, hosts an annual pitch competition for women entrepreneurs. The competition gives the entrepreneurs a chance to broadcast their pitches to a captive audience of fellow entrepreneurs, community leaders and family members. The winner walks away with a cash prize of $1,000.

This year’s competition, which featured nine participants, was held on Sept. 5 at the 20th Century Theater in Cincinnati’s Oakley neighborhood.

The event is the culmination of Aviatra Accelerators Momentum Accelerator — a 10-week, 30-hour program designed for newer, revenue-positive businesses of $50,000 or more seeking to build upon their “momentum.”

In addition, Aviatra announced its Women Entrepreneur of the Year award winners, which are listed below:

  • Woman Entrepreneur of the Year: Lisa Woodruff, Organize 365.

  • Woman Health Entrepreneur of the Year: Alison Connor, Greenway Innovations.
