After six years in business, Flying Axes in Covington is set to close on June 3.

The axe-throwing bar, located at 110 W. 6th Street below Second Story, announced its impending closure on its Instagram page.

“Sometimes the bullseye just doesn’t stick,” read the post. “Thanks for all the great throws and unforgettable memories over the last 6 years!”

The bar first opened in 2018 and is owned by Dave Durand, also the co-owner of Second Story, which is above Flying Axes. It’s located on the ground level of the historic Covington firehouse building, which was constructed in the 1890s.
