An Erlanger Military Honor Banner. Photo provided | The City of Erlanger

Tuesday, April 23, is the last day Erlanger residents can buy a Military Honor Banner. Banners aim to honor current and past members of the U.S. Armed Forces and feature the honoree’s name, photo, armed service branch and rank. Banners are then hung from street utility poles along Dixie Highway and Commonwealth Avenue.

Banners, which cost $100 each, are displayed in public between Memorial Day and Labor Day for three consecutive years before being returned to the sponsoring family.

Learn more about people who have been honored at the City of Erlanger’s dedicated webpage.

Learn more about the program, including how to apply for a banner, by contacting Rachael LaPorte at rachael.laporte@cityoferlanger.com or (859) 727-2525. You can also sign up by filling out the city’s online contact form.
