This weekend, the Enzweiler Building Institute will hold the second introductory weekend of the Covington Academy for Heritage Trades in 2024.

The session is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. at the Enzweiler Building Institute, located at 3923 Winston Ave. in Covington. It will also include sessions at the academy’s real-life lab at a historic home at 1515 Madison Ave. The weekend will conclude with a session from noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 7.

Introductory sessions are mandatory for those wishing to join the Academy.  After attending the introductory sessions, attendees can sign up for sessions including the following:

  • Exterior Carpentry and Porch Repair: May 6 through May 31.
  • Box Gutters and Windows: TBD (late spring/early summer).

“As April’s session approaches, anticipation builds for the immersive experience awaiting participants of the Covington Academy of Heritage Trades’ introductory weekends. These events promise to be a gateway to a world of craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless trades,” Covington Academy of Heritage Trades President Brian Miller said in a press release.
