Point Perk, a coffee shop in Covington, is raising money for the city’s first responders in March with their Battle of the Brews promotion.
They’re offering two flavors for a limited time: The Backdraft for the fire department and the High Speed Pursuit for the police department. The Backdraft is made with cayenne pepper, white or milk chocolate and homemade vanilla. The High Speed Pursuit, on the other hand, is made with blueberry, white chocolate and homemade vanilla. Either drink can be served hot or cold.
Whichever drink achieves more sales by the end of March will determine which department receives funds. 10% of the total sales will go to the winning department. The promotion lasts throughout March.
