Kentucky Rep. and Minority Whip Rachel Roberts (D-Newport) will chair the National Council of Insurance Legislators Joint State-Federal Relations & International Insurance Issues Committee, according to a recent press release from the Kentucky House Democratic Caucus.
“I’m honored to be just one of a handful of state legislators from across the county given the chance to have a greater voice in crafting policies that ensure insurance – no matter the category – is affordable, accessible, reliable and fair,” Roberts said in the release. “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with such a diverse and bipartisan group of leaders over the last few years and look forward to taking on this new responsibility.”
The National Council of Insurance Legislators, or NCOIL, is a bi-partisan legislative organization that drafts model legislation on issues related to insurance. Learn more about the organization at its website.
