Another Bellevue establishment is closing its doors at the end of the month.
Danyelle’s Bellevue Tavern, located at 615 Fairfield Ave., announced its intention to close on Facebook.
Co-founded by Keith Gwynn, Allison Byrd and Jessica Byrd, the bar was named after their late friend Danyelle Byrd, who suddenly died in February 2018 from a brain aneurysm. The trio started the bar in 2019 as a tribute to their late friend.
“We opened this bar to honor our best friend, to create a space to make everyone feel welcomed, and to create beautiful memories together… we did exactly that thanks to each and every one of you,” read the post.
Danyelle’s will remain open for three more weekends. The bar’s final day in business is Sunday, Nov. 26. Gwynn, a native of Philadelphia, advertised Danyelle’s as a bar for Eagles fans in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati to watch games at. Danyelle’s will host watch parties for both the Eagles and Bengals game that final Sunday.
The post thanked patrons of Danyelle’s for supporting the bar over the years, specifically during the COVID-19 pandemic, which ravaged bars and restaurants across the country.
“To all of the friends of Danyelle’s that we have been blessed to meet and get to know over the past 4 years,” read the post. “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”
