The Kentucky Distillers’ Association announced this week that Covington’s Wenzel Whiskey is a new member of the nonprofit trade group focused on Kentucky’s spirits industry.
“Wenzel is grateful for KDA’s dedication to ensuring Kentucky remains the one true home of Bourbon,” said Wenzel partner Austin Dunbar. “In partnership with KDA, we are excited to continue building on our company’s historic past.”
Wenzel Whiskey opened in 2022 at 15 Tobacco Alley. The company produces Wenzel’s Proprietors’ Blend, the first whiskey to be produced in Covington since Prohibition, according to to a release.
“We are thrilled to begin producing our very own Kentucky bourbons and to share them with the world,” Dunbar said.
