After months of anticipation, the popular burger and shake joint Tickle Pickle officially opened their first Northern Kentucky location in Fort Thomas.

Last Friday, the restaurant hosted a grand opening ceremony for their new storefront at 915 N. Fort Thomas Ave. — the former site of 915 Bar & Grill, which closed in March. In mid-May, Tickle Pickle conducted a soft opening to gauge their processes and procedures.

“Fort Thomas, you have shown so much support and we can’t thank you enough,” the restaurant said in a Facebook post in May. “We have plenty of things to work out, but rest assure we won’t stop until this is a well oiled machine.”

The original Tickle Pickle is located in Cincinnati’s Northside neighborhood. In 2022, they opened satellite location inside Listermann Brewing Company in Norwood.

Tickle Pickle was purchased in 2016 by entrepreneurs Lea Dickman and Raymond Bowman after the restaurant’s founder, Sarah Cole, died after being struck by a car while crossing Hamilton Avenue in Cincinnati. The couple also runs Sarelli’s Catering in Cincinnati.

“When we go there, we just see the community, which is what we’re about,” co-owner Lea Dickman told LINK nky in March. “In Northside, it’s a very community-influenced, loved location over there and we see that in Fort Thomas. We feel like our spot would do good in Fort Thomas because of the community and what it’s about.”

The menu features a variety of burgers, salads, shakes and sandwiches whose titles are puns of famous rock bands, like Breadzeppelin, Meatallica, Nom Petty, Goetta Van Fleet, Buns ‘N Roses, Oreo Speedwagon Milkshake and Flan Halen Milkshake.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday.
