Real estate developers and brokers visited the former IRS site in Covington on Wednesday to examine the first four parcels of the 23-acre development area, according to a press release from the city.

City staff from Covington’s department of economic development, procurement and infrastructure accompanied them.

“The city is seeking private developers for three sections along Fourth Street and a broker to market the fourth,” the release said. “The sections range in size from 13,000 square feet to 112,700 square feet and are identified for a variety of uses under a conceptual master plan for the new neighborhood.”

The city is actively soliciting requests for development proposals on the site. Interested parties can submit a request at Covington’s online procurement portal.
