Discount Everyday Prices, better known as DEP’s Fine Wine and Spirits, has officially replaced its signage and remarketed at Liquor Barn after a 2020 acquisition.

Louisville-based Blue Equity, LLC acquired DEP’s, a wine and liquor retailer, in the summer of 2020, adding to its collection of Liquor Barn and Party Mart stores across the state, bringing their total to 23 locations — all of which operate in Kentucky.

DEP’s had three Northern Kentucky locations transform into Liquor Barn, which include 424 Alexandria Pike in Fort Thomas, 670 W 3rd St. in Covington, and 424 Russell St. in Covington.

In June 2021, Liquor Barn was sold to GoPuff, a Philadelphia-based delivery service. According to previous reporting on the acquisition, Blue Equity Chairman Jonathan Blue said they would work closely with GoPuff to integrate Liquor Barn into their business by serving as strategic advisors on alcohol-related initiatives.

After the acquisition of DEPs in 2020, Blue said not much would change for customers in Northern Kentucky.

“DEP’s is a prominent chain that’s been in business for many, many years, and everybody knows them,” Blue said in 2020.
