After officially opening to the public on Dec. 8, The Well, in conjunction with the City of Covington, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to christen one of the city’s newest businesses.
The Well is located at W. 7th Street in Covington at the former site of butcher shop Heringer Meats. Proprietors Chase Daoud and Will Hodges have previous experience in the hospitality industry.
“It was a long road. You know, this really started as just two friends with an idea. I was fortunate enough to partner with my friends Will and Mitch, who is an amazing chef,” Daoud said. “Being a resident in Covington for the last 15 years, I’ve seen the effort that you all have put into developing and growing this area. I’m hoping we can add a little bit of something to the community.”
Featuring a turfed outdoor patio, multiple flatscreen televisions, a kitchen inside a storage container and two floors of seating, The Well offers a diverse array of amenities for patrons to enjoy.
Starting this weekend they will be offering brunch Saturday and Sunday starting at 11 a.m. with their version of a Kentucky hot brown plus loaded tots, mimosas and more.
The Well joins a burgeoning business district which features the likes of Braxton Brewery, Hotel Covington, Bircus Brewing, Agave & Rye, McK’s BBQ, Ripple and The Hannaford.
“This adds to the uniqueness of our city,” said Covington Vice Mayor Ron Washington. “This is what we love.”
