Now is your chance to win a rare set of bourbon while supporting a great cause. “Pappy Days Are Here Again” – but not for long! There is officially less than one month for bourbon lovers to purchase tickets for a chance to win a full flight of six rare Pappy Van Winkle bottles before the raffle closes on June 12.
Redwood, a nonprofit in Northern Kentucky that helps children and adults with severe and multiple disabilities achieve independence and reach their highest potential, is offering the opportunity for one lucky individual to win this bourbon flight, valued at approximately $20,000.
Raffle tickets are being sold for $100 each and are available now through June 12 (or while supplies last). Raffle tickets can be purchased online at bit.ly/RedwoodPappyRaffle, and only 4,000 tickets will be sold.
The winner will receive the following:
- 10-year Old Rip Van Winkle
- 12-year Van Winkle Special Reserve
- 13-year Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye
- 15-year Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve
- 20-year Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve
- 23-year Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve
“What better way to raise funds and awareness for Redwood’s mission and services, than to raffle off a flight of the most sought-after bourbons?” said Sharon Fusco, CEO of Redwood. “Not only will the winner go home with six bottles of high-quality bourbon, but they’ll also be supporting the work we do to provide services, solutions and hope for children and adults with disabilities and their families.”
All proceeds from the raffle, sponsored by Crescent Springs Tobacco & Liquor, will go toward supporting Redwood’s programs such as therapy services, assistive technology, vocational services for adults, preschool and school-age care for children, medical daycare and more.
For nearly 70 years, Redwood has helped children and adults of all abilities to shatter barriers and shine bright. The nonprofit’s Assistive Technology Resource Center is one of only five such centers in Kentucky and provides devices and services that assist individuals with learning, working and interacting socially. A new children’s library opened earlier this year and provides a print-rich environment and space to work on the reading and social skills of those in the Children’s Services program.
Adults of all ages participate in life skills programs which involve art, music, exercise, computer and daily living programs. Redwood also offers vocational services for those individuals that want to explore employment opportunities.
And Redwood’s services don’t just benefit those attending their programs. The full range of services offered all in one place allows caregivers and parents the ability to go to work each day knowing that their loved one is in good hands and receiving comprehensive services and care they need in one place.
“Redwood takes that stress out of your life, and I can definitely say we couldn’t have asked for a better or safer place to care for our children, which allow us to pursue our careers,” said Traci Bedford who has two sons attending Redwood, one of whom was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

To purchase a “Pappy Days Are Here Again” raffle ticket, click here. There is no limit to the number of tickets that can be purchased by an individual. The raffle winner will be drawn at 1 p.m. at Redwood on June 13. The winner does not have to be present during the drawing. The winner will be required to make arrangements to pick up their prize from Redwood of Northern Kentucky; the bourbon flight will not be shipped.
