As much as online shopping is all too convenient, there really is no better feeling than walking into a store you’ve never been in and finding a new wardrobe.
Now that spring is — hopefully, here to stay — I’ve been finding I want nothing more than to do some spring cleaning and shopping. With these boutiques within mere minutes of your house, they’re a quick stop to ensure you have a unique spring wardrobe.
The Native One
I cannot say enough good things about this store. The very first time I went here I audibly gasped when I walked in at a two-toned denim skirt on the mannequin. Now, that may seem dramatic, but you haven’t seen the skirt. This store never disappoints, their styles include bohemian, classy, funky and trendy. They have something for everyone, with two locations, one in Covington and one in OTR they’re a necessary stop on your way home from work. Other than my world-famous skirt, I’ve been able to find adorable closet staples; boyfriend jeans, summer dresses, oversized sweaters and even home décor. They carry a little bit of everything and rotate the stock often so there’s always an excuse to visit them again.
Lady Eclectic
Originally located in Newport, Lady Eclectic has recently moved to the Crestview Hills Town Center. Lady Eclectic carries a variety of casual and semi casual clothes. It’s perfect for those who love athleisure but don’t want to pay $90 for a pair of leggings that the only running they’ll do in them is running errands. Other than athleisure and loungewear they also have pieces perfect for a weekend away. Bachelorette in Nashville? They have you covered. Trip to Lake Cumberland? They’ve got the essentials. So next time you’re out at Crestview add them to your list, you won’t be disappointed.
Coveted Boutique
Located in Fort Mitchell, Coveted is the perfect store for wanting to be trendy, fashionable and boho. If you’re the kind of person who has more of a country classy mixed with glam this is the place for you. This shop also modest friendly without losing any style. If you’re looking for summer shirts that aren’t crop tops but still cute, they’re a perfect option. Another added element is their Coveted Consignment, they have a tailored collection of high end items that are perfect for when you need a one of a kind dress for a wedding, prom, or any formal event and don’t want to shell out hundreds of dollars. Very uniquely they also have a ToxBar located inside the boutique, so if you and your friends want to make a girl’s day of it, book a Bubbles and Botox party and then end your appointments with some retail therapy.
Coda Co
I am a sucker for knickknacks and boutiques have always seemed to carry the most random, but to me, necessary knickknacks. I could spend hours shopping through hair clips, jewelry, candles, mugs, you name it. I love sifting through little trinkets and Coda Co is the perfect place to do so. Their clothes are similar to The Native One as far as style goes, with 70’s patterns and 90’s tiny tees but you’ll find each store carries vastly different inventories. Plants, home décor, a matcha green leather jacket, you name it, Coda Co has it. Located in Bellevue, this store is so fun to pop into when you’re exploring the strip in Bellevue.
These boutiques have so many staple pieces and are perfect if you’re looking for a spring refresh, both for your own wardrobe and for your house.
