DBL Law recently named attorneys Aaron Caskey and Colleen Fausz as partners to the law firm. 

Joining DBL Law in May 2013, Caskey practices in the firm’s commercial banking, real estate and corporate law groups from the firm’s Covington office. 

Caskey earned his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2014, graduating

summa cum laude. There, he was inducted to the Order of the Coif honor society for law students and served as senior staff editor of the Kentucky Law Journal. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Northern Kentucky University, graduating magna cum laude. 

He was a member of NKU’s Honors Program and received the H. Lew Wallace Outstanding Student in History Award. While attending NKU, Caskey completed an internship in the Capitol Operations Department of the Office of the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. 

Caskey serves on the board of directors for Buffalo Trace Children’s Advocacy Center, the Augusta Independent Educational Foundation, and the City of Maysville Architectural Review Board. He is a member of the Leadership Northern Kentucky Class of 2020. He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Northern Kentucky Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Cincinnati Bar Association. The Eastern Kentucky native currently resides in Maysville, Ky.

Colleen Fausz practices in DBL Law’s Business and Transactional, Estate Planning and Probate, and Banking and Commercial groups. She assists trusts, estates, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals with tax compliance and tax and estate planning. 

Fausz represents businesses in acquisitions and divestitures, as well as consulting on a variety of business and employment tax issues. A lawyer and Certified Public Accountant, Fausz transitioned within DBL Law from her previous position as the firm’s controller, where she was responsible for managing all financial and operational aspects of the firm and associated staff. She is also based in the firm’s Covington office.

Colleen earned a J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, graduating magna cum laude. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Thomas More University, graduating summa cum laude.

Colleen serves on the board of directors for Family Nurturing Center and on the NKU Community Engagement Advisory Board. She is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Northern Kentucky Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association, and the Kentucky Society of CPAs.

She resides in Fort Thomas, Ky., with her husband and four children.
