After his 84-year old father began struggling with needed eye drops due to hand tremors, Robert Behan created a remedy that could change the way eye drops are administered.

Behan, 51, invented what he has branded the Bullseye Dropper and was recently one of two winners at the Innov8 for Health start-up company competition at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital:

The judges, who included investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders in Greater Cincinnati, reviewed entries from inventors nationwide and the United Kingdom before naming the Bullseye Dropper one of two winners of the competition. Behan said he gave a 15-minute pitch.

Each of the winners is to receive $5,000 in cash and services. The other winner was the Plasma Thermogram blood test developed by Louisville Bioscience Inc., which can indicate cancer remission, re-occurrence and response to therapy.
