The City of Fort Mitchell announces its 2022 Independence Day Parade Grand Marshal as Vent Haven Museum.

“Vent Haven Museum is Fort Mitchell’s best-kept secret, and we are honored to have them serve as our parade grand marshal,” Fort Mitchell Mayor Jude Hehman said. 

Vent Haven is the world’s only museum dedicated to ventriloquism. Established in 1973, Vent Haven Museum will be celebrating 50 years in 2023. 

“The Board of Directors of Vent Haven Museum is so proud to be chosen as the Grand Marshal for the 2022 City of Fort Mitchell Independence Day Parade,” Vent Haven Museum Director/Curator Lisa Sweasy said. “We are glad to help represent the city in such a fun and longstanding tradition. Thank you to the city administrators for selecting us. We’ll see you all on July 4.” 

The City of Fort Mitchell Independence Day Parade will be held on Monday, July 4, at  

12:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Lend A Helping Hand.” The parade will start at the DCCH Center Fairgrounds on Orphanage Road, go down Dixie Highway, go down Beechwood Road, and end at Beechwood Schools. City streets along Dixie Highway will close at noon.
