Air Canada will resume nonstop service between Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and Toronto beginning May 1, CVG’s Mindy Kershner announced Wednesday.

Flights between the cities were put on hold for nearly two years due to the pandemic, but twice-daily flights can now be booked at aircanada.com.

“People are ready to travel,” said Mark Galardo, senior vice president of Network Planning & Revenue Management at Air Canada. “With overall travel demand accelerating, our flights linking Cincinnati and Toronto will be of interest to customers looking to visit friends and family and explore Canada’s largest city.”

CVG CEO Candace McGraw said she is thrilled the resumption of flights to Toronto, which will depart daily at 6:10 a.m. and 4:40 p.m., arriving in Toronto at 7:42 a.m. and 6:12 p.m.

“This news should encourage our regional business community, particularly, as corporate and international travel demand continue to recover coming out of the pandemic,” McGraw said.

The first flight available to Toronto will depart CVG at 4:40 p.m. on March 1.
