I could get used to these 4-day work weeks. My man Van Damme is pumped up for this weekend. Happy birthday to my mom. Let’s see if she reads this.
– After a bicyclist was hit by a drunk driver this week in Newport after a ghost ride to honor Andrew Gast, discussions are ruminating around the community as to how motorists and bicyclists can safely share the road.
Gast, who was killed while riding near Lunken Airfield late last week, was reportedly not breaking any traffic rules whatsoever.
There are plenty of bicyclists in Fort Thomas, especially on Route 8 where they sometimes run 3-4 abreast. I get that bicyclists have just as much right to the road as motorists, but that raises the question: just because they can, does that mean they should?
I don’t have my mind made up either way on the issue. What are your thoughts?
– If you aren’t in the habit of clicking the “Sports” tab at the header on the FTM page, you are missing out. G. Michael Graham has the absolute best sports coverage of any media outlet for Fort Thomas and Newport Central Catholic.
– This picture is courtesy of Highlands WR, Luke Turner. Pretty impressive display of rings with three years of championship rings represented. I doubt any other Kentucky High School (save Louisville Trinity) can boast that amount of hardware at a random night out at B Dubs.
– During the UK-UofL game last weekend, former HHS QB and Kentucky backup, Patrick Towles got some love on ESPN. While we will not discuss the disgusting result from the game, it is starting to feel like the consensus from Big Blue Nation is that they want to see what the Parade All-American from Fort Thomas has.
I’ve been on the bandwagon for a while. My man is going to get it done in Lexington before it’s all said and done.
– What is Fort Thomas selling on Craigslist?
Don’t feel like actually earning boy scout badges? $50 buys you these.
Why do I not already have this? It is legit. Too legit.
