Whether you are picking the perfect pumpkin, taking the kids through a corn maze or simply looking for Kentucky-grown products, buying local at Certified Farm Markets allows the Kenton County community to enjoy fresh-from-the-field produce while directly supporting its local farm families. KFB’s Certified Farm Market Program ensures each market meets high standards of quality, freshness and marketing appeal.
“Fall is when our Certified Farm Markets really shine, with the best of the season coming straight from the farmers who raise it,” said KFB President Eddie Melton. “The certification gives consumers a trusted sign that what they’re taking home was grown with care right here in Kentucky, and visiting these markets is one of the best ways to support our farm families.”
Located at 15239 Madison Pike in Morning View, Hillcrest Farm Harvest Fest LLC offers pumpkins, mums, flowers and fresh produce, along with a fall festival in October and November. It is open May through November on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 859-409-7925.
The KFB Certified Farm Market logo identifies markets certified through this program, and they are listed in the online directory. The program also provides collective advertising, promotional items, educational tour opportunities, and other marketing benefits, with the aim of increasing the net farm income of member markets.
