The Kentucky Softball Coaches Association have made their selections for the All-State teams and Region and Player of the Year in each respective region.
While softball in the state isn’t classified, the KSCA splits the state into three classes to form the All-State teams. Each class has a first and second team along with an honorable mention, a Player of the Year and coaching staff of the Year.
Player and Coach of the Year were also awarded in each region. In the 9th Region, Highlands’ Kaitlyn Dixon won Player of the Year, St. Henry’s Chris Schreiber won Coach of the Year.
REGION PLAYER AND COACH OF THE YEAR

Dixon was dominant in the circle for the Bluebirds this year once again. She posted a 30-4 record in 34 starts with a 0.91 ERA. She struck out 352 batters compared to just 40 walks and allowed 108 hits and 27 earned runs. She also hit .373 at the plate with 27 runs driven in, helping guide the Bluebirds to their best season in program history as they reached the state semifinals. Dixon was also named to the Class 3A All-State first team.
Schreiber guided a complete turnaround for the Crusaders. They went 15-7, which equaled their win total over the last four seasons combined.
CLASS 3A ALL-STATE TEAM

Highlands Payton Brown and Campbell County’s Josie Feebeck were named to the Class 3A All-State second team.
Honorable mentions for the All-State Class 3A team were Highlands Layla Zepf, Conner’s Averie Lightner and Campbell County’s Hope Hamilton.
For the 2026 Kentucky Prep Softball East-West All-Star game, Conner’s Kayla Ortiz was selected to the game.
South Warren’s McLaine Hudson was selected as Miss Kentucky Softball.
