Two children are dead after a house fire in Newport on Tuesday, according to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.
The coroner’s report says a 10-year-old and a 5-year-old died at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center on Tuesday after they were pulled from the burning home.
Newport Fire Chief Frank Peluso said the fire happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on 15th Street. The department received a call reporting that two people were inside the house.
Both children were taken to the hospital, where they died from their injuries, according to the coroner’s office.
