On February 12th, 2026. Covington Holmes students had a student led walkout in protest of I.C.E and the Trump administration.
Students brought signs and chants to the walkout.
One chant included “ICE ICE baby, we don’t want you in our city”
A forum was also posted, allowing students to give there opinion. Below are some student statements:
“I.C.E is an excuse for racism to be normalized and hate to be the new normal, violence and hate is what is tearing this country down very very fast” -Anonymous Student
“Why do you think Native Americans are called NATIVE AMERICANS? I have never been more disgusted with the decisions of our country. Trump swears on the bible, and uses it whenever he can, but yet he doesn’t follow the rules set out. ‘Love Thy Neighbor’ and yet he steps over that.” -Anonymous Student
The Walkout leader was a student and wishes to stay fully anonymous to the public.
