The circus is returning to Covington!
Circus Mojo will bring its traveling summer camp program to the Behringer-Crawford Museum in Covington from Aug. 4–8, 2025, as the show celebrates its 16th anniversary.
The camp, which runs daily from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., offers participants instruction in circus arts including aerial silks, juggling, stilt-walking, tight-wire, and acrobatics. The week concludes with a public Finale Show on Friday at 2 p.m., followed by a pie fight.
Campers need to bring their own lunch and water bottle every day. The program welcomes youth of various ages and skill levels, focusing on physical performance, coordination, and building confidence.
Circus Mojo founder Paul Miller, who previously apprenticed at a circus camp held at the museum in 1996, said returning to the space is a full-circle moment.
“I was an apprentice for a circus camp held at BCM in 1996 in between Ringling’s Clown College and my days on the circus train,” Miller said in a news release
Museum members receive a 50% discount on camp registration. The Behringer-Crawford Museum is located in Devou Park at 1600 Montague Road.
Laurie Risch, executive director of the museum, said the partnership aligns with BCM’s community outreach goals.
“We are delighted to host Circus Mojo as a part of our community outreach and share our space with jugglers, acrobats, and even a few clowns,” Risch said in the release.
