This year, the Wilder Fire Department canceled its annual fish fry, citing rising prices. In support, Barleycorn’s Brewhouse is releasing its “Wildfire” Irish Red Ale.
The Wildfire tapping party will take place on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Barleycorn’s Brewhouse in Wilder. The first pour will be tapped at 5:30 p.m., and the first 50 guests to order will receive a limited-edition Wildfire t-shirt.
A portion of all sales generated during the event will benefit Wilder’s first responders directly. A chance auction will also feature prizes donated by numerous local businesses that have come together to support the cause.
The ale was even brewed in the town’s historic firehouse.
“Brewing beer in Wilder’s historic firehouse makes this event especially meaningful,” Barleycorn’s Brewhouse Brewmaster Shane Trego said in a press release. “We’re honored to give back to the first responders who serve our community every day, and we’re grateful for the many local businesses that have joined us in supporting them.”
Wildfire will be available for a limited time only, so guests are encouraged to stop by and enjoy this special brew while supporting a great cause.
Barleycorn’s Brewhouse is located at 402 Licking Pike in Wilder. Find more information at barleycornsbrewhouse.com.
