A Hebron couple died when their motorcycle was struck by a vehicle in Columbus, Indiana.
The crash happened Monday at 4:52 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 46 and Goeller Boulevard in Columbus. That’s whre police found Robert Porter, 53, and his wife, Vicky Porter, 53, being assisted by witnesses after their motorcycle was struck by a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer.
Witnesses said that the Porters were traveling east on State Road 46 on their 2002 Honda VTX1800 when it was struck by the Mercury driven by Sharon Brummett, 63, of Columbus, IN. Brummett reportedly turned in front of the Porters leading to the crash.
Medical helicopters were called to the scene due to the injuries suffered by the Porters. They were flown separately to Methodist Hospital for continued treatment but both later died of their injuries.
Columbus Police are still investigating the crash.
