A new poll calls Kentucky’s junior U.S. Senator Rand Paul “the biggest loser” following the highly watched and much discussed FOX News Presidential Debate between 10 Republican candidates vying for the nomination.

In the Public Policy Polling findings on the field’s standing in early primary state Iowa, Senator Paul’s support has shrunk and his unfavorability rating has risen.

“The biggest loser in the poll is Rand Paul,” said PPP in a news release. “He now has a negative favorability rating at 31/45. That gives him the worst numbers of anyone in the field, outdistancing even (New Jersey Governor) Chris Christie on the unpopularity front. Paul’s 3% standing represents a drop all the way down from 10% in April.”

Paul and Christie had a testy exchange in last week’s debate:

Meanwhile, businessman and TV personality Donald Trump maintains his lead over the field, pulling in 19% of the vote. Neurosurgeon Ben Carson polled second at 12%.

On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leads Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) by a margin of 52% – 25%.
