Hayley Dant and Sarah Webster, two Boone County teachers, have been named as ambassadors to the 2024-2025 cohort of GoTeachKY, along with 19 other teachers from throughout the state.

“The mission of GoTeachKY is to ensure that all students across the commonwealth have equitable access to effective educators,” said an announcement from the Kentucky Department of Education. “GoTeachKY seeks to recruit the next generation of teachers in Kentucky, helping remedy the critical teacher shortage that affects every state in the U.S.”

As ambassadors, Dant and Webster will be responsible for encouraging interested high school and college students in pursuing a career in education. Ambassadors also represent the program at career fairs and speaking engagements.
