A total of 10 district champions were crowned in northern Kentucky on Thursday night, five boys, five girls.
Here’s how it went down:
32nd District
Boys
Simon Kenton 8, Grant County 0
Cole Garnett provided a hat trick as the Pioneers won their fourth straight district championship.
Jack Meyers, Tyler Eveland, Santiago Arias-Villaroel, Erick Herrera and Marco Barrios also provided goals in the mercy rule victory over the Braves. Nasser Hussein was credited with two assists, Chris Price and Arias-Villaroel also dishing out assists.
Miles Mullen got the clean sheet in net.
Garnett was named the tournament MVP with Herrera and Arias-Villaroel named to the All-Tournament team.
Simon Kenton improved to 12-8-3, Grant County dropping to 5-13-1.
Girls

Simon Kenton 4, Walton-Verona 2
Ella Smith recorded two goals and an assist as Simon Kenton won their 13th consecutive 32nd District title.
Smith was named MVP for Simon Kenton while Reese Johnson and Meg Gadzala were named to the All-Tournament team. Johnson added a goal and an assist in the championship bout, Gadzala adding an assist.
Alexis Howard also found the back of the net with Niya Johnson also adding an assist. Fayth Tomlin made four saves in net, Maddie Strunk also seeing action in goal.
Simon Kenton improved to 13-4-4, Walton-Verona’s loss putting them at 15-5-3.
33rd District

34th District
Boys
Dixie Heights 2, St. Henry 1
Cole Proffitt and Donovan Lameier provided the scoring for the Colonels as they edged the Crusaders. Lee Tucker and Trevor Bolte were credited with assists.
Cole Grimes made eight saves in net to help keep the Crusaders from a game-tying goal.
Nik Maher scored the lone goal for the Crusaders. Maher and Cooper Gastright were named to the All-Tournament team for St. Henry, dropping to 13-6-2 on the season.
It’s the seventh straight district title for the Colonels as they improved to 10-7-1 .
Girls
Dixie Heights 2, St. Henry 0
Dixie Heights scored goals in the 6th and 43rd minutes while blanking St. Henry on their way to a fifth straight district championship.
Hope Tignor and Makenna Long found the back of the net for the Colonels, Hadley Greene and Abby Parsons with the assists. Emery Rowland earned the clean sheet in net, her defense in front of her not allowing a shot on goal all game.
Dixie Heights improved to 13-4-4 while St. Henry dropped to 6-9-3.
35th District
Boys
Covington Catholic 4, Beechwood 0
The Colonels posted their fourth straight shutout as they won a fifth straight district title.
The victory carries a six-game unbeaten streak as CovCath heads into the 9th Region tournament as the favorite. The Colonels have outscored teams 28-2 over their last six games. They’re 13-5-4 over the course of the season.
Beechwood heads into the 9th Region tournament with a 10-6-2 record.
Girls

Notre Dame 3, Holy Cross 0
Since the 35th District formed its current alignment in 2012, there’s been no district champion besides Notre Dame and the Pandas kept it that way on Thursday.
Riley Robertson scored two goals, Maya Tully had a goal and two assists with Julia Stegman adding an assist. Adilynn Melton and Joelle Hentz combined for the shutout in net, needing just two saves.
The Pandas sit at 13-3-4 headed into the 9th Region tournament, the Indians at 10-10-2.
36th District (Tuesday)
Boys
Highlands 1, Newport Central Catholic 0
The Bluebirds were able to avenge a 2023 title loss to the Thoroughbreds with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday night at NKU.
The shutout was their fifth of the year as they improved to 6-4-4. NewCath fell to 5-12-2 as both teams will look forward to the 9th Region tournament next week.
Girls
Highlands 5, Newport Central Catholic 0
Five different Bluebirds recorded a goal as Highlands won its ninth straight district championship.
Reese Wilkens, Gabby Simons, Hope Darnell, Tenley Graves and Kate Fausz scored the goals, Maren Orme with two assists, Ariana Harms, Franny Smith and Adalyn Armstrong-Cattani also recording assists. Mia Peluso made one save in net for the clean sheet.
37th District
Boys
Bishop Brossart 1, Campbell County 0
The Mustangs claimed their fifth straight district title in dramatic fashion, knocking off the Camels 4-2 in penalty kicks.
While Ryan Eldridge provided the clean sheet in net with seven saves, it was Luke D’Allesandro coming on in goal for the penalty kicks.
Austin Twehues, Andrew Lusby and Max Runge were named to the All-Tournament team with Alex Runge taking home MVP honors.
For the Camels, Zach Franzen, Blake Cole and Luke Linville made the All-Tourney team.
Girls

Bishop Brossart 3, Campbell County 1
Zoey Woosley, Hadley Eviston and Kylie Smith scored goals, Smith, Rachel Shewmaker and Josie Golden providing assists as Brossart’s girls won consecutive district titles.
Madeline Broering had seven saves in net.
Woosley took home tournament MVP honors while Eviston, Kaitlyn Kramer and Kennedy Kremer were named to the All-Tournament team for the Lady ‘Stangs.
All-Tournament team selections for the Camels were Jozie Holmes, Kacie Thompson and Taylor Maley.
Brossart will be the host for the 10th Region tournament that starts on Monday.
