Schneider’s Sweet Shop in Bellevue is turning 85.

The family-owned business has been a staple in Bellevue since 1939 and is celebrating with a block party this weekend that will also raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club.

Schneider’s is teaming up with Bellevue, Barleycorn’s Brewhouse, Fessler’s Pizza, Script Coffee, Gold Star Chili and The Boys and Girls Club of Cincinnati for the event.

Enjoy live music by Ben Walz and The Turkey’s, an ice cream eating contest, door prizes from local Bellevue businesses and the Schneider’s kids play zone, featuring sensory sundaes, coloring, crafts, balloons and an appearance by Who Dey, the Bengals mascot, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The event is Sept. 21 from noon to 5 p.m. at 420 Fairfield Ave. in Bellevue.
