The Jaguars defense encased the Camel offense and held them without a first down and 25 yards offense before the starting defense exited early in the third quarter. 

The Cooper offense grinded the Camel offense by putting up 35 points in the first half. 
Cam O’Hara tossed five touchdown passes in just a little over two quarters of play, while completing 12-of-17 passes for 243 yards, tacking on a rushing touchdown. 
Isaiah Johnson hauled in three touchdown receptions while totaling 116 yards on six grabs. 

The victory was Cooper’s 100th win in the program’s 17-year history.

Covington Catholic 47, Dixie Heights 28

Nearly 800 yards of offense was tallied up in this one, the Colonels of Covington Catholic outscoring the Colonels of Dixie Heights 21-7 in the second half in Edgewood.

Cash Harney ran for 173 yards and four touchdowns, throwing for another 110 and a touchdown. Dylan Gaiser added 112 rushing yards and a touchdown as CovCath ran for 293 yards in the victory.

Armani Gregg did the dirty work for Dixie, rushing for 214 yards and three touchdowns.

Dixie Heights (1-3) led 21-19 with 1:52 to go before halftime, Covington Catholic (2-2) then scored 28 unanswered to pull away.

Beechwood 35, Simon Kenton 23

The Tigers improved to 4-0 as they pick up a road win in Independence.

Clay Hayden opened the game’s first drive with a 59-yard bomb to James Cusick, Beechwood leading the entirety from there.

It didn’t come easy, Simon Kenton making it a 14-10 game at half, 21-16 after three and 28-23 with 8:49 remaining, Chase Flaherty providing the kill shot with 6:11 remaining on a rushing TD.

Beechwood plays at Covington Catholic next week.

Bishop Brossart 38, Nicholas County 12

Tyler Holtz tossed five touchdown passes as Bishop Brossart is off to their first 4-0 start since 2021.

Nicholas Cozzi and Nate Geiman hauled in two touchdown receptions each in the victory.

Lloyd Memorial 38, Bethlehem 6

Kaleb Evans hit Isaiah Sebastian for two touchdown passes, Yuri Collins ran for two more and the Juggernauts won their third straight game (3-1).

Evans finished with 153 yards passing and three touchdowns, Sebastian totaling 180 yards rushing and receiving, adding a rushing touchdown to his three touchdown day.
