A tornado watch has been issued for the Northern Kentucky region.

The National Weather Service issued the watch shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday, and it is in effect until midnight. Storms are expected to hit around 7 p.m.

Wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour, isolated hail, localized flooding and several tornadoes are possible, according to the NWS report.

This weather pattern is the remnants of Hurricane Beryl, which made landfall in Texas on Monday, according to the NWS.
