Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, a Covington-based advocacy group that aims to provide legal help to vulnerable populations, is seeking volunteers for its Medicare SHIP Program.
“The Medicare SHIP Program works with people to help them understand their Medicare benefits, bills and rights,” according to a press release from the organization. “Medicare SHIP services are free, confidential and available to Medicare beneficiaries, their families and caregivers. Services are provided by trained staff and volunteers who play a critical role in helping people save money and get the health care they need.”
Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Angela Zeek, Legal Aid of the Blugrass’s Medicare SHIP coordinator, at (859)388-9296.
