The city of Alexandria is giving away 550 saplings to its residents for Arbor Day.
The event will be held on April 27, at 10 a.m. at the Alexandria Community Park located at 3965 Alexandria Drive. The types of saplings include Virginia Pine, Gray Dogwood, Shagbark Hickory, Cherrybark Oak and Nutall Oak.
